As moods and trends are being set
people march to the beat
attempting to earn acceptance
by which they all compete

man’s concern about his station
governs how he will choose
as man was given a free will
to find his life or lose

either a servant unto God
should be the choice to make
or run with the crowd doing wrong
for selfish pleasure’s sake
____
God never said we couldn’t have fun
nor prosper with great wealth
material gain could be our blessing
and pleasures that are felt
____
but man insists in having his way
seeking for fulfillment
searching for that certain plateau
where life holds enrichment
____
thus countless trends of society
attract foolish people
because temptation is so strong
will power is so feeble
____
whoever rejects the Lord
shall never find his peace
Utopia does not exist
and trends do not appease
